Airsoft replicas use 2 different 'barrels'; there is the outer barrel, that is mirrors the replicas barrel and how it looks. There is very little the outer barrel does other than cosmetics and overall rifle length. The inner barrel diameter (bore size) impacts BB stability and velocity. Tighter bores, such as 6.03mm to 6.01mm, can improve accuracy and FPS by reducing air loss, while wider bores, 6.03mm to 6.23 mm, are less prone to jamming and can work better with HPA builds. High-performance guns like the Amped Custom HPA Rifle Krytac LMG Enhanced may use precision barrels for optimal results. Many airsoft guns offer standard or upgraded inner barrel diameters, letting you tailor performance to your preferences and BB choice.
