An AEG, or Automatic Electric Gun, is an airsoft gun powered by a rechargeable battery that drives an electric motor. The motor cycles a gearbox that compresses a spring, which then releases to propel a BB out of the barrel. This mechanism allows for semi-automatic or fully automatic firing modes.
