There are several types of airsoft magazines, including low-capacity (low-cap) magazines, mid-capacity (mid-cap) magazines, and high-capacity (hi-cap) magazines. Low-caps hold fewer BBs and require manual reloading, mid-caps hold more and use a spring mechanism, while hi-caps can hold hundreds of BBs and use a winding wheel to feed them. Some specialized magazines, like drum or box mags, are also available for certain guns.
