A high-cap airsoft magazine, or "hi-cap," works by storing a large number of BBs in a reservoir and using a spring-powered winding wheel at the bottom. When you wind the wheel, it feeds BBs into the gun's firing mechanism via a small channel, allowing for continuous shooting until the magazine needs to be rewound or refilled.
