The precocking feature on the m14 mosfet keeps the piston in the rear position after each shot with the spring compressed, ensuring the next shot is fired immediately when the trigger is pulled. To release the spring, hold the trigger for 2 seconds after firing. Precocking improves trigger response time, which is crucial in close quarters battle (CQB) scenarios where rapid follow-up shots can decide the outcome.
