A pin with an o-ring and tapered end was loose in my regulator's bag. Which way does it go into the part that screws onto the tank? Amped Airsoft SLP Regulator | Amped HPA SLP Rig

In my regulator there was a pin loose in the bag it has a oring and a tappered end.. it looks like it goes in the center of the part that screws onto the tank.. any recomendations on which way it goes in?

Yes, it will go the the tapered end upwards, and the part with the smaller pin at the very end is what will engage the tank. The UFA pin is held in by friction and the oring. They can sometimes slide out depending, but it happens infrequently.
