This is setup to be a complete kit. Essentially we are giving the battery for free. If you deselect it, you will not receive a lesser cost since it is already free.
Best thing to do is to go ahead and get it with the battery so you get the free battery. 8) If you do not need it, then you can sell it or give it to a friend who needs one.
