Hello,
It should be able to fit. I spoke with one of our techs on this and he said that he has had some that fit without any modification needed, but he has also come across some that needed minor modification. If anything it will be the outer barrel that needs modified.
You don't necessarily have to take of the bolt cover, but there's a chance of it getting stuck since it's a tight fit. If that happens you can just give it a little nudge and it should close right back up.
