NPAS stands for Negative Pressure Adjustment System. It replaces the fixed valve in your GBBR's nozzle with an adjustable one, controlling how much gas goes toward propelling the BB versus cycling the bolt, so you can tune your FPS/Joule output up or down without swapping parts.
